Family relationships

Family members can't be part of the story or roleplay.

What's not allowed: a family member being present or involved in the scenario — a mother, father, sibling, child, cousin or similar, of either the character or the user. This applies:

• Regardless of whether everyone is stated to be 18+
• Regardless of whether there's any romantic element
• To step-family, in-laws and adopted family as well as blood relatives

What is allowed: family in backstory, or in a setting that doesn't influence the roleplay. "She has two older brothers" is fine. "She grew up on her grandparents' farm" is fine. The distinction is whether the relative is a participant in, or an active element of, the story you're playing out.

If you see characters that appear to breach this, please report them. Some users edit characters after approval, which is how these slip through.
