Which sign-in method opens which account

PixelChat accounts don't have passwords.

There are five ways in: a one-time code emailed to your address, or the Google, Apple, X or Discord button. Which one you use matters, because they don't all lead to the same place.

Google, Apple and X sit alongside the email code. If you signed up with any of those, you can also sign in by entering that same email address and using the one-time code. You'll land in your existing account — nothing new is created.

Discord is the exception. A Discord sign-up can only be reached through the Discord button. If you enter the email address linked to your Discord account into the email form instead, PixelChat creates a new account rather than opening your existing one — and your characters, chats and subscription won't be there.

How to sign back in

If you've ended up with a second account by accident, contact us before you start using it. We can tell you which account holds your content and, if you have a subscription on the wrong one, move it across. See article 1.5.
